The Problem.

The electronics giant Philips was interested in a better way and/or new products to increase their market share in the (thermo) soother industry. Their current soother was not doing so well and was by far the most expensive soother in its class. Our main objective was to decrease the price and increase the product value.

The Result.

What I presented to the delegation of Philips at the end of the project was a totally redesigned soother for less than one third of the price of the current Philips thermo soother. The biggest and best change was the use of a LED-indicator instead of a power consuming screen. An other big improvement was decreasing the amount of parts from over 25 to 3. With only three part the production and assembly time and costs got incredibly low.
