The Problem.

The goal of the project is to create a mathematical tool that would give the right information after you insert two or more values. The whole machine must be mechanical only, so the use of electronically parts was forbidden. There were enough materials in the workshop at school to get this project done.

The Result.

The result is a construction with two arms which both had the same origin on the top and were fixed in a line on the bottom. The arms could both be pointed to a value of 1 to 10 on the line on the bottom. between the arms there was a similar construction with a hole inside. That hole would move to a unique position per combination of the values pointed to by the arms. At that position you could see the answer through the hole in the construction.
